Kraus Faucet Brand Review

Kraus kitchen faucets are designed to bridge a specific gap in the industry. Many homes don’t get to benefit from the staying power and versatility of a commercial-style faucet. Part of the reason is due to cost, but the size of a commercial faucet is also a concern.

Many home kitchens just don’t have the space to support a true commercial faucet.

Kraus has created several collections that solve these problems quite effectively. You’ll also find several traditional-type faucets are available with this brand for those who prefer a standard residential look.

In total, there are around 50 different kitchen faucets from which to choose from Kraus for your next remodel, upgrade, or new construction project.

About Kraus as a Brand

Kraus has their headquarters in Port Washington, New York. Their goal is to create a greater appreciation of urban architecture within each kitchen faucet design, but still having an emphasis on a minimalist style.

“At the root of our beliefs,” their website states, “we hold that relaxation is paramount and your home is your private spa.”

What drives Kraus forward is a desire to create something perfect for everyone who needs a kitchen faucet. To do so, the brand draws inspiration that comes from all walks of life. This perspective is then combined with modern manufacturing technologies, an emphasis on innovation, and investments into stronger components so the best possible fixture can be created.

When a home can be a private spa, it creates comfort because the personal routines of every household can be followed without interruption. Instead of focusing on problem-solving, families can focus on finding a way to accomplish their goal for the day.

Diversity. Ingenuity. Fresh ideas. Impeccable customer service. Kraus believes that manufacturing sophisticated equipment is the first step, not the last, toward achieving success. By creating numerous styles that meet the demands of everyone, it becomes possible to combine value and performance in a meaningful way.

That is how Kraus sets themselves apart as a kitchen faucet manufacturer.

How Good Are Kraus Kitchen Faucets?

Kraus kitchen faucets are widely available from a variety of retailers. Several e-commerce platforms offer their products as well. For the purposes of this brand review, we only reviewed sites that accept reviews, ratings, or rankings to evaluate their reputation and public perception.

We found Kraus to have an above-average reputation, coming in with a total score of 4.1 out of 5.

What is notable about Kraus kitchen faucets is the consistency seen across multiple sites. The pros and cons of this brand can be summed up in these key points.

  • Kraus manufactures kitchen faucets that are designed to provide a contemporary look for a price that is reasonably affordable. It is a product that is comfortable, effective, and easy enough to use.
  • Installing a Kraus kitchen faucet is reasonably easy and the included instructions for each faucet are simple to follow. Although a professional installation is usually recommended, this is one of the few brands where a self-installation isn’t necessarily a “bad” thing.
  • To keep the price point low on some faucets, Kraus has incorporated plastic components that do not have the same durability as the faucets that contain metal components.

One of the best examples that follow these three key points to the letter is the Kraus KPF-2250. It is a single lever pull-out faucet with a traditional design instead of the commercial-style design. It comes with a stainless steel finish and features and features a dual-function pull-out sprayer.

The hose on this faucet retracts smoothly and an included counterweight provides a consistent user experience. It has a lead-free construction and the spout swivels 120 degrees. To keep the price under $100, however, Kraus has included several plastic components that can dent or scratch when it experiences an impact, like from a knife, or if the faucet is accidentally dropped into the sink basin.

We found that the average per-faucet rating climbed as the price rose. Entry-level models are typically ranked between 3.7-4.2 out of 5, while the premium commercial-style faucets tend to be ranked between 4.2-4.7 out of 5.

Invest into the best kitchen faucet your budget can afford and you’ll increase the chances of receiving a product that you’re going to love presenting to your clients or installing in your home.

What Is the Warranty on a Kraus Kitchen Faucet?

Kraus then offers a limited lifetime warranty for their kitchen faucets. It covers against defects in the materials or the workmanship used to create the product. Replacement parts are provided without charge or, in some instances, a replacement faucet may be sent. A refund of the purchase price may be considered instead for certain individuals.

There are some exclusions and conditions to the warranty that must be noted. Light maintenance is required for the warranty to be valid. Specific care and maintenance instructions are included with the faucet’s documentation.
